Your most common questions answered

Q. My wife and I have agreed all financial matters. We have a child who is 15 and there is no dispute surrounding him. Can I use the simplified procedure as there is no dispute about anything?
A. As your child is under 16 you have to use the ordinary procedure. However, if the child will soon be 16 you could postpone starting the divorce until then when the simplified procedure can be used. It’s a matter of whether you want to get divorced sooner.
