The signed agreement is then sent to Registers of Scotland, they keep the original in their vault and send you and your spouse officially registered stamped, bound copies.

Costs Involved-
Separation Agreements are not offered on a fixed-fee basis. Every situation is different. Some cases are straightforward and limited to drafting agreed terms; others require negotiation or specialist input. As a guide, the minimum professional fee for preparation of an initial draft Agreement is £1,500 plus VAT, with further work charged in line with Rooney Family Law’s standard rates until the matter is concluded. You will receive clear information about likely costs at the outset.
